Awaiting Rabī’ – Written by Faizan Al-Karachi Al-Maddāḥ

I take in a deep breath,

I can smell the breezes,

A sweet scent from afar,

Nafaḥāt Ṭayyibāt,

Ahhhh,

That time of year is around the corner,

The month of the birth of the Warner,

An-Naḏīr Al-Munḏir,

Started by the Sulṭān of Irbil,

Commemorating the mark of love,

The seven heavens he raised above,

Reaching it through his perfection,

Dispelling the darkness through his mention,

Rasūl Ar-Rāḥaħ,

Comforting the dishevelled souls,

Rasūl Ar-Raḥmaħ,

Only sent as a mercy gifted,

Rasūl Al-Malḥamaħ,

Defending Islam when the flag needed to be lifted,

What an amazing man!

Ar-Rajul Al-A’ẓam!

The love for him has settled in my heart,

I’ve planted the seeds,

Yet I can’t wait for this month to start,

Learning about him more, Making my heart soar,

Overwhelmed by such emotions,

Tears flow more than the oceans,

So upon my tongue I whisper Ṣalawāt,

For the love of the Prophet ﷺ lives in my heart!
