A whisper escapes my lips,
An arrow shot, hoping it will not miss,
As the Ṣalawāt flows from my tongue,
I wish that I live upon this, old and young,
A love so deep rooted, I’m surrounded,
By a light so bright, deeply profounded,
Words he spoke,
Hearts he took,
Anyone who met him,
Fell in love with him,
Yet I’ve never met him,
Yet I still love him,
What a strange affair this is!
Many would think insanity this is!
For I love him for the blessing he brought,
For justice, for truth, he fought,
The weak, the down trodden, he would support,
The greatest man to ever lay foot on this world,
I envy the wind that flowed past his beautiful locks,
I envy the very ground he stood upon,
I envy the tree he leaned upon,
I envy the lizard that spoke,
I envy the water from his hands that flowed,
I envy the gazelle that pleaded for help,
I envy the clouds that shaded this man,
Oh how I wish to be close to him!
Yet my sins,
Oh my lowly sins,
They bar me from his presence,
Yet I have this amazing blessing,
Of Ṣalawāt,
Where angels scout for it,
To convey to him it,
And the 4 tens are written,
10 good deeds given,
10 bad deeds removed,
10 prayers are sent,
10 ranks is one raised,
What a beautiful blessing,
Through it are worries dispelled,
For it contains a light,
No need for magic and spells,
When you have the Ṣalawāt of the Rasūl ﷺ,
For even with it, your Du’as are granted Qabūl,
So this tongue increases with Ṣalawāt,
And love is rooted in this heart,
So Oh Allāh,
Send salutations upon our Master Muḥammad,
اللهم صل على سيدنا وحبيبنا وقدوتنا وأسوتنا وشفيعنا ومولانا محمد وسلم!
