This heart turned cold,
The side effects of growing old,
I know I’m a lost soul,
So I ask to not let me go,
I love you for you’re my home,
A gem amongst stones,
Birds tweet praises with spring’s arrival,
Humanity was given spiritual revival,
Upon your birth,
For you lightened the whole world,
Bringing joy to the cosmos,
The Beloved Rasūl has finally come!
A guiding light, a mercy for all,
Thwarting evil’s trajectory, the crying Devil,
Oh what an amazing man is he!
More beautiful than any creation ever seen,
None like him before and after,
Victorious over every terror and disaster,
Oh Lord, his way I have oppressed,
Yet he livened the nights, stressed,
Calling You, “My Ummah! My Ummah!”
Wā Shawqāh LiRasūlillāh!
The pain of separation is like no other,
For I know his words, where he called us his brothers,
Those who haven’t seen him,
Yet believe in him,
What an honour to hold,
I’d sacrifice it all,
Just to catch a glimpse of him,
So I beg, crying on my knees,
Draw me closer to my Habib…
