Lovelorn and gone,

You came to this world and won,

The hearts of millions,

Even those who never saw you are captivated by your words,

You even forgave those who hurt you,

What an amazing man!

Ar-Rajulul-ʾAʿẓam,¹

Ḥīna walidtul-kawnu tabassam,²

Ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam,³

The Greatest Man to walk the Earth,

When he was born everything smiled, the whole world,

For everything was made for him,

As a letter of love from the Divine,

For his Al-Ḥabīb,⁴

The Beloved,

Aṣ-Ṣādiqul-ʾAmīn,⁵

The Truthful and Trusted,

At his mention I am exulted,

Oh I wish to be the ground that kissed his blessed feet,

Or gaze upon the light that emanated from between his two front teeth,

Oh his light,

The first creation of Allāh,

The Raḥmaħ⁶ sent by Ar-Raḥmān,⁷

Gifted to us,

At his mention my heart fills with love,

So I ask Allāh to unite me with him above,

For an encounter filled with love.
